There were plenty of positives for our Seniors in the opening round. Olds Park is a tough venue, and St George are hard opponents. But, getting the early jump, our Bombers took it up to the Dragons; and although we didn’t quite get over the line there was a lot to like about how the Bombers played.
In round 2, we’re at home at Mortgage Choice Oval for a clash with Sydney Uni. The Students had a big win over Wests in their first round game, so we’re keen to pull them down to earth while getting our season up and running.
The Students won’t be easy opponents. But we’ve got a good squad with plenty of great footy ability; and if the team plays to their ability this game is there to be won.
