It’s been a stellar season to date for our Under 19s Div 1 team. They’ve been playing some great footy, and to go through the home & away season without being beaten on the field is a reflection of the outstanding talent and dedication that this group of players has shown.
After winning the last round on a forfeit and then a week off for finishing minor premiers, our Bombers are refreshed and hungry for the challenge ahead. And the challenge is finals footy.
Our opponents will be UNSW-ES. The Bombers overcame the Bulldogs to win last year’s Grand Final; and again were too good for the Dogs in all three meetings during the regular season. The ability is certainly there to do it again, but our Bombers will need to be switched on to play their best footy.
The stakes are high. For the winner, a spot in the Grand Final awaits. The loser gets another chance, but after such a great season for our Bombers, we’d like to make it to the big day first.
