It’s the last round of the home and away season; the last hit-out before the playoffs. And we’ve got a tough opponent to take on while we fine-tune the finals preparation.
Last week after a slow start it was a solid fightback by our Seniors at Olds Park as they got within two kicks of St George by three quarter time. Unfortunately the last quarter didn’t go our way, but some solid footy showed that the Bombers are capable of competing against the best.
This week we’re back on our turf, taking on the top side East Coast Eagles. To get the double-chance in the finals, we need to win and need UTS to lose their game. We can’t help the other result; but we need to win.
And it can be done. North Shore is the only team to have beaten the Eagles this year – early in the season, our Bombers travelled to Bruce Purser and smashed them with some high-quality footy. And with a replication of that form, we can do the same again.
