All of our teams will be playing finals this year, and it’s our Thirds who will be the first to take part in the playoff action.
Thirds finished second after the home and away season, only missing out on the minor premiership by a minute percentage gap. It’s been a successful season to date; with plenty of competition for places in the team and players stepping up to take their football to new levels.
The Bombers will be going into the game with winning form and momentum on the board, and last week an early start saw a big win against Manly at Henson Park.
Our opponents in the Qualifying Final will be Macquarie Uni. The Warriors will be a tough opponent; but at our last start against them at Mac Uni it was our Bombers who emerged with the spoils of victory in a thriller.
Being a Sunday afternoon game, an opportunity is here for people from other grades at North Shore to come along to Blacktown to support our Thirds; and we hope to see plenty of vocal support for the black and red in the crowd. It will go a long way towards getting our Bombers over the line.
Please note that for spectators, a $10 admission charge applies for finals. Also the AFL have advised that dogs are not permitted at finals at Blacktown.
