Player Memberships 2025

15 Feb by Michael Shillito

As it has been for the past couple of years, it’s been our aspiration to maintain membership fees at a consistent level and I’m pleased to say that for 2025 we’re able to do that again. Membership will be the same as it was in 2024 and 2023.

Our costs continue to increase though and as has been mentioned previously, the costs relating to things such as ground hire, ground hire, affiliation fees, insurance, physio, club umpires, tape, jerseys, footies, bank & accounting fees, trophies, depreciation etc, translate to more than we recover in membership fees.  Payments to the AFL and to the Council for ground hire alone account for two thirds of our Membership receipts.

All clubs pay affiliation fees, but the difference for us is the cost of ground hire. Most clubs pay substantially less than we do and some effectively don’t pay anything. GHO is a unique surface though, that allows us high volume training for about 10 months of the year, regardless of weather, and we also know that we get fewer injuries on it. These are benefits that definitely aren’t enjoyed by members of other clubs, who are often rained off for long periods of time.

Fortunately, we’ve been able to raise additional revenues to offset the many cost increases we’ve had. Particular thanks for that to our sponsors in Mortgage Choice Neutral Bay, Paul Moore, Athletes Authority, Norths Collective and WOTSO, as well as to our many benefactors, including Danny Roberts and Ryan Meldrum. We also need to thank John and Cheryl Hayres for their great work in the canteen, Phoebe and her team for their work on Events and Jason Russell-Jones for the work he’s done to secure grant funding.

At some point increasing costs will necessitate an increase in Membership, but I’m very pleased that we’ve been able to hold steady again this year.

Please note that there are opportunities to reduce your individual membership costs through club umpiring, team management and other roles around the club. If you’re interested in this please contact Scott Brownlaw at execfootyops@northshorefc.com.au for information about how to register.

Payment plans will also be available again by contacting Sam Jackson at treasurer@northshorefc.com.au.

Early Bird Membership is now open and this will apply until the 15th of March. Standard Membership Fees will apply from the 16th of March to the 12th of April, after which late Membership fees will apply.

Please click below to register and pay Membership. Note that if you’re transferring from another club, you’ll need to complete that process before proceeding.
