It’s been an extraordinary year for our footy club. So much so that here we are in the second week of the finals, and we have an unprecedented nine teams taking the field this weekend. Of those teams, five of them are playing this week for a spot in their respective Grand Finals.
We start our weekend of finals footy with our young Bombers in action on Saturday morning. Mens Under 19.5s Division One are playing to make the Grand Final and keep their undefeated season going at Blacktown; while at the same time our Womens Under 20s will be in action at Rosedale aiming to make the first ever Grand Final for that division.
Then at 1pm at Blacktown, our Mens Premier Division will be looking to continue their unbeaten run and make it through to the Grand Final. At the same time at Kanebridge, our Mens Division Two team, who also won their minor premiership, are playing off to get through to their Grand Final.
Then on Sunday morning at 9am, our Mens Under 19.5s Division Two team will be their Preliminary Final at Rosedale looking to get through to that division’s Grand Final. That will be followed on the card at Rosedale at 11am by Womens Division Three in Minor Semi-Final action; and also at 11am up at Kanebridge, Mens Division Four will be playing to stay alive in their Minor Semi-Final.
After a couple of hours to recapture our breath, the final games get under way shortly after 3pm. At Blacktown Sportspark, Mens Division One have a Minor Semi-Final; which will happen simultaneously with the Mens Division Three Minor Semi-Final at Kanebridge Oval.

Team selections for all games are now up on Team App and the website. Congratulations to everyone who has been given the honour of wearing the Bombers guernsey in finals action this week.
It would be great to have plenty of support for all our teams in finals action. Wear your black and red and get out to the grounds. When it gets tight, some vocal and passionate support will help your Bomber comrades get over the line.
Don’t forget that if you’re heading out to the finals and you’re not playing, you’ll need a ticket. Head over to
https://www.eventbrite.com.au/o/afl-sydney-31150442335 to get that sorted. Also be advised that dogs are not permitted to finals at Blacktown, and no alcohol is to be brought to any AFL Sydney finals.
And if you can’t get to Blacktown for the Premier Division Major Semi-Final on Saturday, especially for our Bomber diaspora around the world, make sure you tune your device in from 1pm Saturday to

Have an awesome weekend everyone. And here’s hoping we get to hear the song after plenty of big wins this weekend!!
