Game Day - Saturday 6th July

5 Jul by Michael Shillito

Finally another long work week is done and dusted, and it’s time for footy! Saturday is our favourite day, and we’ve got some big games to play this week. Several grades playing out the Battle of the Spit Bridge away at Manly, and some games back to back on our home deck at Gore Hill.
Unfortunately the weather and ground closures have again played havoc with the fixturing. Not at our ground at Gore Hill, but around the league.
Gipps Road Oval is closed, and Mens Division One is cancelled. Womens Division One and Mens Division four have been moved to Mike Pawley Oval, the oval next door to Weldon to the west; with the Womens Div 1 getting under way at 12:20pm and the Mens Div 4 at 2pm. It could be a bit slushy there, but I’ve been told that at the moment it’s not too bad.
Team selections are now online on the website and on Team App. Apologies for the delay in getting the teams up – took some time for the teams to be ready, plus I had a physio appointment.
Congratulations to everyone who has been given the honour of representing North Shore this weekend. A few new names and some returning for the first time this year. Great to see you wearing the black and red of the Bombers with pride.
Have a great weekend everyone; and go you mighty Bombers!!
