Game Day - Saturday 20th April

19 Apr by Michael Shillito

Our second weekend of footy action takes place on Saturday, with all 12 of our teams in action. For our Mens Thirds (Division Two) team, who had the bye last week, finally they get to take the field and play some footy!
Last week 8 of our 11 teams got the chocolates. A successful opening to the season; but there’s still a lot of footy to be played.
This week we have four of our teams, including Mens & Womens Prems, heading to Olds Park to take on the Dragons. There’s also six games back to back at Gore Hill; while Womens Div 1 are back to Mahoney Park again, this time playing UTS; and Mens Div 5 hit the M4 to take on Penrith at Greygums. It’s a big weekend of footy.
Team selections are now up on Team App and the website, and also on social media. Coaches, if there are any late changes from here on, please work with any players affected.
Congratulations to everyone who has been given the honour of wearing the North Shore guernsey this week. Wear it with pride, play the best footy you can and conduct yourself well on and off the field – that’s all we’ll ever ask. We have quite a few making their debut appearance for the Bombers this Saturday. Congratulations to you.
I will be putting score updates up on Team App and Twitter/X (@northshorefc) from Gore Hill as they happen; and updates from our away venues when I have the scores. If anyone is going to any of our away venues and isn’t playing/coaching and would like to update Team App, that would be muchly appreciated by our North Shore community far and wide, who love to hear how our Bombers teams around the grounds are going.
As a community sporting club, we rely heavily on volunteers to get myriad tasks done, particularly at home games – and to get things done, we need to roster players on for various duties. If you are rostered on this week, we need you to do your bit and cheerfully do your role. It’s those who put the most into their footy club who get the most out of it.
Have a great weekend everyone. Go North Shore!!
